Broadcast History: Unsold pilot, November 4, 1977
Main Game: Two teams of five contestants competed. One team consisted of five people who worked in the same occupation. The other team had five celebrities. David Letterman would read the first riddle to the team who lost the last game. If the person in the first position correctly answers, he/she reads the next riddle to his/her partner. This continues until the player answering gets it wrong or takes too much time. Control then goes to the other side with the same procedure being done before. Nine correct answers won the game, $500 and a chance at an additional $1500.
End Game: The winning team now arranges themselves in intellectual order, with the player in the first position getting the easist riddle and the fifth player getting the hardest riddle. The winning sequence is as follows: $100, $200, $300, $400, $500 -- with a possible total of $1500. If they succeed, they win a total of $2000.
