Broadcast History: Unsold Pilot, October 30, 1977
Main Game: Six players participated. Each of the two teams consisted of two celebrities and one contestant. The celebrity always sits in the first position (Left), the second celebrity always sits in the middle, and the contestant is in the third position (Right). The object of the game is to ask a question and come up with the answer. But the players on the ends ask the question, one word at a time and the player in the middle has to answer. (Example: [1: What] [3: is] [1: another] [3: word] [1: for] [3: a] [1: turtle?] [Bell Rings] [2: A tortoise.]) The person that finishes the question pushes the bell and the player in the middle answers. If the answer is correct, they get one point. They have to get four points in less than 60 seconds. Their opponents then have to get four correct answers in less time. If they get four points in less time, they win the round. If not, the other team wins. Three rounds won the game and a chance to play the "Hot Spot" for $5,000. The loser got a parting gift and left the show.
End Game: In the "Hot Spot", The player on the left calls a category, the player in the middle calls a letter, and the player on the other end has to answer. This process repeats in the opposite direction (right to left, left to right, etc.). Every time a correct answer is called, that letter is removed and the contestant gets $100. Getting all nine correct answers in less than 60 seconds wins the contestant $5,000.
